Website privacy notice

This notice covers Ian Simpson's project website, including the Schoology Homework Planner sample and the Travel Maximizer and Dibs introduction pages. Ian Simpson operates the project. Contact ian@iansimp.com with privacy questions.
The sample
All assignments, points comparisons, and listing illustrations shown in the project samples are invented examples. The samples do not connect to Schoology or airline accounts, run Dibs photo searches, ask for credentials, or collect student records. Changes you make in the sample live in your browser's page memory and reset when you reload. They are not sent to a project database.
Website services
This site adds no advertising, analytics tags, or tracking cookies. The hosting service may process standard request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. Hosting access controls may also use authentication where enabled.
Fonts load from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to retrieve those files. Google's Google Fonts privacy information describes that processing.
If you email Ian
If you use an email link, your email provider opens a message for you to send. Correspondence includes your email address and whatever you choose to share. Ian uses that information to reply and discuss the project. Please do not send student records, school passwords, or API tokens. You can request deletion of project correspondence by emailing Ian; email providers may retain backups or records under their own policies.
External project websites
The Dibs links take you to calldibs.us, a separate live product with its own privacy policy and account controls. This site does not send it schoolwork, travel information, or sample interactions.
A future family alpha
The multi-family version is in development. This website does not enroll families or authorize access to school accounts. A separate privacy notice describing the actual data collected, service providers, retention, and family controls will be needed before that alpha opens. Planned safeguards described on the project page are development requirements, not a claim that those services are available today.
